Thanks.Me too,it's not that i hate Jovovich or anything, but the Alice character, just doesn't belong or have anything to do with the world of resident evil. For me it feels more like a parasite...or better yet,a virus
exactly, why oh why the need for a stupid made up character as a main, when there so many in the games to choose from, and because of alice the actual proper game characters is just like her side kicks, always in her shadow...i hate that the films push the game characters to be little more than alices helpers ......thats why i like your wallpaper cause it s like they getting centre stage like they deserve....
Every character is fucking made-up in RE. Why is it any different from Alice? She kicks ass the most. The one I don't like is the actor who plays Leon. His gruff doesn't portray the character at all. The rest are great, just not Leon which disappoints me.
yeah ok, and i respect ur opinion so maybe you should respect mine....the reason i dont like alice is cause the films are based on the games and i feel the creator completely abandond and disrespected the RE GAME characters to make up some silly random chick who has no place in the series (i mean the game character are just alices side kicks in the films when they should hav more of a role cause they are what makes resi special) who care if she kicks ass, if your gonna make a film based on a game do it right!! p.s i dont like the leon in the films either haha i think his acting sucks and does a very poor leon, disappointed... anyways thats just my opinion, everybodys is different is all, no big deal
Like a cruel seductress, the film franchise teases me with characters from the game... only for Paul Anderson to rewrite them as afterthoughts to the almighty Alice. So unless said character is not fighting Alice, consider them to be no better than just... dare I say... props! *sniff*
Anyhow, I await for the next film... GAH! Curse you, Anderson!! You always take my movie ticket money!!!

The films are very addictive Glad I'm not the only one dying for the sixth film to be released lol.
Ironically, I saw the first film when I was still a kid and it scared the shit out of me to the point that I didn't want anything to do with it. It wasn't until a few years later that I rediscovered it and ended up loving it to pieces. Since then, RE has been my very favorite movie series.
I only recently started playing the games though, so naturally I don't like characters like Ada and Leon quite as much as you probably do. Alice is my favorite, and I love Rain. I do like Claire and Chris quite a bit too though. And of course, Wesker is a total badass.
I think that the reason Anderson writes the other characters that way is because a lot of people were drawn into RE who have never played the games, and he doesn't want to confuse them. Also, quite a few people are whining that they don't like Retribution as much as the other movies because "it follows the game too much". Anderson is probably afraid of losing too many fans if he diminishes Alice's importance... and Milla is his wife soooo... haha.
I did read an interview on Johann Urb, the guy who played as Leon. He mentioned how a knife fight scene of his was cut from the final film, due to time constraints. So, sure, 900 moves for Milla was not exactly enough to establish her badassery. I'm even going so far as to say that the zombified J-Pop Girl had a better fight scene than both Leon and Luther.
On a consolation, though, I am slightly glad that Barry was allowed to use a certain trademark weapon of his. Once again, awaiting for the next film to be either amazed or ripped off. Either way, it's another twenty dollars split to Sony, Capcom & Paul Anderson's bank accounts...
Still made the Redfields won't be in Retribution but Carlos will be! All I gotta say is there better be some good Wesker scenes because I loved him in Afterlife! It's that character that got me writing a FF for the RE verse!
